Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) Movie 2 v2 – Now in HD!

So yeah, read post below. This has a much improved translation over the previous release, and way better video quality (even in SD). And of course, there’s an HD version this time, too.

Of note that the HD version is 3.9GB. If you don’t have the space for that, go for the SD version.

Download (HD): Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Download (SD)

Torrents: HD, SD.

Now that I got this out of the way, I can go back to focusing on the Gōshō Aoyama shorts now. Sorry for the delay.

    Questions:
    1) Does this include the Pikachu short?
    2) Does anyone (I’m sure several people will read this) know which Pikachu shorts contain enough human dialog that they actually need fansubs at all?

  2. Stelman says:

Every time I download Parts 3 and 4 and extract them (with Winrar) together with 1 and 2, it always gives me a message telling me that 3 and 4 are corrupt.
Just thought I’d let you know, anyone else getting this problem?

    • pu7o says:

I just finished reuploading the HD version, so the problem should be fixed now. Note that I had already deleted the RARs, so I had to make them again, meaning you should probably download ALL four parts again.

I Agree with Stelman, part 4 is showing corrupted. (btw any chance of Eng Dub in HD aswell?)

  4. Stelman says:

    Might as well update.
For some reason extracting the file with Winrar just came up with “LOL CORRUPTED”. So I tried 7-zip instead. At the end it said it was corrupt, but I watched the entire movie and there was nothing corrupted at all.
In conclusion, use multiple programs, because one of them may be having a hissy-fit.

For v2, why was “superior one” changed to “great controller”? And why was the name “Fleura” changed to “Frula”? I thought these changes, along with a few others, were kind of unnecessary.

Why doesn’t this have Japanese subtitles like v1?

    • pu7o says:

…yes it does. Your player’s probably just failing to read them.

      • Anonymous says:

No it doesn’t. mkvinfo shows only one subtitle track for v2, while v1 has three subtitle tracks. Also, v1 has chapters and v2 doesn’t.

        • pu7o says:

Oh, you mean the Japanese subtitles for the English audio that the old release had (which I’d just straight pulled from the DVD)? Well, no point in having them considering that this release doesn’t even have the english dub. Similar thing with chapters — this isn’t pulled from a DVD, so I don’t have any chapter info to put.

  7. ZeroGX says:

When I extract it says that the .mkv file is corrupt.

  8. DeathStrudel says:

You might want to mention in the post that you need to use 7-zip instead of winrar to extract the movie because they both say the file is corrupt but winrar will automatically delete the file even though the movie works perfectly fine. The CRC in the filename is 21027dc7 but when I calculated the CRC of the extracted file I got 1df36289. I’m guessing the file is minimally corrupt so even though it works fine, it gives an incorrect CRC and that’s why winrar/7-zip think the file is corrupted

    • pu7o says:

I suppose it is corrupted, but I don’t know how or why it keeps happening…

There is an option in WinRAR to not delete corrupted files, I think.
